Thank GOD It's Friday!

Today is Friday, and that effectively ends Week One of my chemotherapy. God has been very good to us this week. After five straight days, my only side effects seem to be hiccups, heartburn, and a little fatigue. I'll take that! I have until Tuesday to rest and recover a little. Tuesday will be blood work and another dose of Bleomycin. That will be my only day of chemo next week.

As usual, Fridays here also mean football. Tonight was senior night, and our Wildcats took on the Dixie High School Green Hornets in the rain. Blake served as one of our captains, and we won the coin toss. We deferred, electing to receive in the second half. Blake put the opening kickoff out of the back of the endzone. Having lost the coin toss, Dixie's luck didn't improve much from there. The final score was 43-0 in our favor, and our second string and JV's played most of the second half.

Thank you, Lord, for giving me a good week. I praise your name for your mercy and grace. Your grace truly is sufficient. Your power truly is made perfect in my weakness. You alone are God.
