Our Wildcats lost their game with Chesterfield last night, but we were very proud of their effort. Blake kicked two extra points and two touchbacks. He also had a couple of long punts. We finished with a 9-3 record, but this season was about more than wins and losses. The last couple of years had been really tough, mostly due to grown men and women acting like children and arguing about coaching and who was getting playing time. When Chris Liner was hired as head coach this year, all of that changed. This season was about community healing and becoming a team again. The players wore a t-shirt with FAMILY printed across the back. We became a family again this year, and Coach Liner told our seniors they had laid the foundation for the future of the program. We are very proud of Blake and all of his team mates who gave us a great season of football.
